Once it gets going 3K revs+ it's ok. Sounds electrical to me but what?

i now have a starting problem i come to start the car and it just clicks like the battery is flat.
when i do a test on it the battery is holding charge and the alternator is charging fine when running
i also have now fitted a battery, alternator and starter motor all new parts and its still doing it but is intermittent

Im going through the process of changing theHG on my rover 416, albeit slowly. However i have made a few mistakes that may prove to be disastrous and i was wondering if anyone here could relieve me of my paranoia?

Firstly i bought a new rad. However while i was inserting the new clips for the mount, i buckled quite a few of the aluminum coils on the grill. Will cause any issues?

Also, while i was moving the crankshaft pulley to align the camshafts, i rotated the pulley clockwise and anti clockwise. Would this cause any problems??

As soon as i stick it in reverse it beeps for 2 secs or so then nothing . does it beep again when i get close to another object ? Because atm i hear nothing. are these easy to replace ? as in do they just pull out etc ? where is best ot get one from can i get new ? and are they the same though the range as most little things on mine are old spec (like the ariel mast in stead of a zs on bolt one i have a 3 pin one )

Has been making a whining/grinding noise for a week or two and now has broken down.
Can still get into gear (altho very juddery in reverse) and still drives, but getting it recovered anyway.

I'd appreciate any comments or ideas as to what the problem is. It's a great little car and I'd hate to lose it.
