You then got this freeware software and off you go.

Sounds like fun.

So i was thinking, that if before you start meddling, you saved a copy of your original settings you could then meddle and twidle to your hearts content.
As you would always be able to revert to factory settings.

What de fink?

Has anyone had a go, and has anyone else got any info on this we can all share.

I am off for a rummage around the hard drive to see if i can fin the info.

I recently had my nsr caliper replaced at my local friendly garage as it was knackered. I had the discs and pads done too while it was in, so all sliders etc should of been greased as they told me they had, but now the osr caliper has seized. When they did the other caliper they did say the other one would probably follow suit at some point in the near future.
I am just wondering how easy it is to change it myself as I am not paying out 75 quid for the part plus the labour and all just before the MOT as well.
Before anyone says, the local scrappie hasn't got any and I can't get any second hand ones off ebay as I have to use the car again for work on Tuesday night and it wouldn't arrive in time.
I am really worried as I don't want to bake the pads and/or warp the discs as that's what happened on the other side last time.
Any suggestions, or any how 2's knocking about??
Thanks people!!

If it is only HGF I can have the parts sent over normaly as they wheigh in at very little. I will do a compression test to be sure it isn't the valves that are no longer on talking terms with their seats etc.....

Just got my copy of this monthly magazine. Lots of interesting stuff as usual with quite a lot of good content on Rovers and MGs.

One downside from certain viewpoints, they make the point that these cars are excellent value now. So just maybe, those superb cheap bargains may soon be a thing of the past. When the word gets around that these cars are not so bad value after all. Unlikely considering all the long standing anti-Rover residual negativity, but in the former anything is now possible and not all is good.

As I drive around locally and a tad further afield, I am surprised to see so many Rovers and MGs still in good condition and going strong. Considering it is now over seven years since the last ones left the production line up at now flattened Longbridge, that there are still so many I find astonishing.

Yes, I've found this June issue a better read than usual and that's saying a lot because it's always a good read.

The MG3 won't be launched here until the second half of 2013 according to William Wang, MG Motor UK's Managing Director in an interview with the Birmingham Mail.

http://www.birminghammail.net/news/t...7319-31005344/

The diesel MG6 is promised before the end of this year, but we seriously must question how long the remaining dealers can hold on for. Mr Wang is quoted in the article as saying:

“Our philosophy is that we go step-by-step. It will be small volumes in Europe at first. We need time to test the markets. We do not have ambitious, aggressive plans to produce 10,000 cars next year.”

If that quote's correct, talk about depressing. I've consistently given SAIC the benefit of the doubt in terms of the time it takes to homologate designs for the EU market, but the prolonged wait for what should be a popular seller in the supermini class suggests that MG Motor UK is pretty much an afterthought.

Deeply disappointing - especially as I want to support the MG renaissance but can't stretch to the MG6 and I don't want to wait another 12+ months to replace my Colt...

Well I'd been wanting to lower my car for ages but could never afford some decent springs, I was saving up for some SPAX when on here I was looking through the for sale thread and I stumbled accross some AVO 30mm for £70, alot cheaper than the SPAX and I know all you guys rate them quite well! So I got them.

The paint on them wasn't in the best state so I sanded them down got as much crap off them as I could and sprayed them up myself! First time I ever sprayed anything and me and my friend who fitted them today were quite impressed!

Alot of people think it's chavvy I painted them gold... But I don't care I like them... Not that you can ever really see them anyways!

The paint work isn't as good as it was before we fitted them because the compressors kinda pulled off a bit of paint lol...
But over all I'm chuffed :D

Has anyone replaced the Pipe assembly-engine coolant heater to engine rail, if so how difficult was it?

My concern is that it fits to the rear of the engine block well down below the bulkhead between the engine bay and boot – access seems very restricted indeed. How dose the pipes fit to the enginge?

The existing pipes are corrodedwith rust although there is no sign of leakage of coolant.

Any comments or advise would be very much appreciated.
